For society to thrive, we’ve got to look at how we operate.

Every person, every organisation, every business, has a responsibility towards society, the environment and each other.

At QUBA Solutions we know how important it is to give back – to staff, to the wider community and to the environment.

Our Commitment to Collaborate

As a business, we have a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, who make up our ‘CSR Champions’.  The individuals help the business achieve its sustainability goals and encourage green initiatives. We’ve made great strides over the years with an average of £2500 raised annually for our chosen charities and are always looking forward to seeing what we can come up with next!

We Advocate

  • Philanthropic Presence: Each year we nominate one local and one national charity to be supported by a variety of fundraising events and regular committed donations.
  • Education and Awareness: We arrange annual visits to charity headquarters to ensure our employees know the importance of their fundraising work.

We Anticipate

  • Environmental Sustainability: As new research is published uncovering new changes needed to reduce everyone’s negative impact on the environment, we do our best to stay at the forefront of sustainable business operations.
  • Minimising Footprints: We are in a continuous process of analysing our existing business structure to streamline processes – efficiency is crucial to reducing waste and carbon footprints.

We Accommodate

  • Leading by Example: We operate within the spirit of all available UK legislation and keep compliance in mind with every decision we make and every action we take.
  • Active Listening: Internal and external stakeholder opinions are important to us and so we will always act to implement constructive feedback in our constant process improvements.

We Celebrate

  • Incentivise and Revolutionise: We are proud supporters of those who volunteer and provide a paid day every year to every employee looking to invest time back into the community.
  • Raising up our Champions: We hold up those in our business who go above and beyond to improve our environmental impact and charitable activities, ensuring that all achievements and good deeds are shouted from the rooftops.

Our current nominated charities

It’s only by helping others that we can hope to make a difference to society. We see it as our duty to lead this industry by example which is why we annually nominate two charities to concentrate our fundraising efforts on throughout the year.

Helping Julia’s House Children’s Hospices

Julia’s House is not a typical children’s hospice. Through frequent and regular support both at home and at their hospices, they’re able to provide an exceptional level of care for children with life-limiting or life-threatening conditions but also practical and emotional support for their families. Visit Julia’s House’s website for more information.

Although we’ve already raised tens of thousands for this amazing charity, we’re not stopping there. This year we’ve challenged ourselves to raise a whopping £3000 this year through fundraising efforts alone which allows Julia’s House to provide 2 ½ days of life-changing play sessions at one of their hospices. But with economic pressures, charities can greatly benefit from regular direct-debit donations that they can rely on to plan for the future of the children they support. We’ve got one set up, and we think you should too.

Proud to support Surfers Against Sewage

Starting as a grassroots movement in the 1990s, SAS have dedicated themselves to the protection of the oceans, waves, beaches and wildlife around the UK. Through organising beach cleans to educating local schools about the effects of plastic waste, SAS have grown into a national charity covering the whole UK.

With waste reduction a core belief for many of our employees and central to our CSR strategy, our aim is to support SAS through local volunteer beach cleans and in raising funds for them to continue their educational projects. We have joined their ‘250 club’ for businesses which “is a commitment to be part of a powerful network of leaders driving forward the coastal environmental movement.” Read more about their great work and look at joining the drive for a better world on the Surfers Against Sewage website.
